That is on the main auto trans harness.. It runs up to the Inner fender well.There is a brown connector (the bigger of the connectors) that is on the main transmission harness on the inner fenderwell. There is an internal rectangle rubber o-ring caused it not to correctly seat itself. It caused that 16 flashes like you mention and for the trans to be in limp mode. Check that first. If not.. there is a brown (w/yellow stripe I believe) wire (TPS circuit).. that runs to transmission. Mine touched exhaust manifold and caused it to short out).
